Women are more opposed to abortion than men

Publié le : 30 April 2014

A Guardian journalist has been analysing opinion polls on abortion in the United Kingdom for almost ten years. Despite the vast number of these polls, which are carried out by various companies with individual interests, a common fact has emerged: women are more opposed to abortion than men.

43 to 59% of the women interviewed would like to see more restrictions on abortion compared to 24 to 35% of men. The main reason for this difference is that women tend to think that life begins with conception.
