In the United States, in New Mexico State, a Republican representative, Cathrynn Brown, submitted last Wednesday "a bill which classified abortion as ‘tampering with evidence in cases of criminal sexual penetration or incest’." Moreover, it states that "tampering with evidence must include the fact of obtaining, facilitating or obliging a third party to abort a foetus resulting from criminal sexual penetration or incest with the intention of destroying the evidence of the crime." Lastly, the bill "makes abortion following rape a third-degree felony, punishable by three years in prison."
