The pregnancy of the first woman with an uterus implant has failed

 After announcing on 12 April that the first woman in the world to receive an uterus implant was pregnant (Gènéthique press review from 15th to 19th of April 2013), the Akdeniz University Hospital of Antalya, in Turkey, where the operation took place, has just announced that the pregnancy has failed. An examination made after eight weeks revealed that the embryo had no heartbeat. But in spite of this failure, the hospital stated that new in vitro fertilization procedures will be carried out so that the young Turkish woman can become pregnant again.
