Texas: Restrictions on abortion are upheld

Publié le : 4 November 2013

A complaint was lodged further to a new legal provision granting “doctors in abortion clinics access to a local hospital“. This step would threaten the “closure of one-third of these clinics in Texas“, according to those instigating the complaint. Last week, the judge who received this complaint declared this measure as unconstitutional (Gènéthique press review on october 28th, 2013). In a reversal of this situation, the Court of Appeal has upheld the legislative framework.
