Switzerland: conviction for abuse of euthanasia

 In Switzerland a doctor has been convicted by tribunal and fined 500 swiss francs for having "prescribed a lethal dose of Pentobarbitol to a patient who wanted to die, without having formally submitted a diagnosis."  The right-to-die organization Exit described the verdict as "disastrous." However the prosecutor Marc Rémy said, "this is a matter of fixing a clear boundary, and not a personal attack on the defendant. […] the physician must act as a filter."
