The 5th annual meeting of the Ouagadougou Partnership took place in Abidjan on 14 December. The aim of this partnership is to “accelerate the use of Family Planning” services in 9 French-speaking African countries. This meeting focuses on “promoting contraception to secure a better future for young people”.
On this occasion, Melinda Gates, wife of billionaire, Bill Gates, has undertaken to promote family planning in Africa. According to her, by promoting contraception, family planning will “help families to be healthier and wealthier” across the continent.
