Oklahoma, in turn, bans abortion after 12 weeks

Publié le 13 Avr, 2015

Yesterday, in the United States, Mary Fallin, Governor of Oklahoma, signed the Dismemberment Abortion Actapproved by chambers on 8 April.

This law prohibits abortion after the first semester.  Legislation considers that the dilatation-extraction methods used for abortions after twelve weeks of pregnancy, essentially involving the use of a forceps, mutilate the foetus.

Oklahoma is the second state to adopt this type of measure, the Governor of Kansas having passed a similar law last week.
