On Saturday, the March for Life united thousands of people in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. This was the first event of its kind in a country where abortion has been decriminalised since 1978 and is authorised up to the tenth week of pregnancy. The aim of this demonstration was to “remind people of the unalienable dignity of life, from conception through to death by natural causes”. According to the police, 7,000 Croatians took part including the Prime Minister’s wife, Sanja Oreskovic, who announced that “Any reasonable person should support this March for Life”.
